Part Time Studios is looking for new studio members!

Studio Space includes:  100 sq. ft. for personal studio, full wood shop, screen printing facilities (including table, darkroom, and wash-out booth), gallery access, First Friday exposure, and an all-around good, creative work energy!

If you are an artist living in Philadelphia and need studio space, we may have what you’re looking for.  Benefits include personal studio space, shared woodshop, access to screen printing facilities, public exposure on First Fridays, and sweet a cappella sing-alongs, among others.

We’re looking for a driven, pro-active artist who is willing to take on some light responsibilities necessary to run Part Time Studios.

1. A link to samples of your work.
2. A resume or a brief summary of your background in the arts.
3. Any special skills that could benefit the studio.  i.e. web development, social networking, marketing, promotion.

Few people know about the thriving bike polo scene here in Philadelphia.  Part Time Studios resident, Adam Smith, just made these two tee shirts to celebrate the recent East Side Polo Invitational VI tournament, which was held in South Philly this past weekend.

You may have seen Adam Smith‘s “First American” print, featuring a tattooed Ben Franklin.  It was recently turned into T-shirts by there there.  Go pick one up here!

Nashville natives, Moon Taxi, were in town last week at the North Star Bar, which was the third stop on their 2010 summer tour.  They were kind enough to stop by Part Time to check out Ryan V. Brennan’s show, Beneath The Unraveling Horizon.
